Work Package 7: Evaluation, Dissemination and Networking

Objectives

  • Define the methodology and apply it for the evaluation of the solution proposed by SMART-WAY
  • Perform extensive communication, awareness building and networking actions that will allow the wide dissemination and promotion of the project results and findings to the European urban transport community
  • Core intention to promote dissemination of project results by preparing paper and conference contributions and promote networking for exploitation and commercialization
  • Impacts of the new passenger navigation system concerning passenger behaviour will be evaluated
  • All results will be presented and discussed to speed up the commercialization in the EU
  • Define evaluation process
  • Provide feedback for possible corrective solutions
  • Evaluation methodology will be devised addressing assessment categories and criteria, methods for data collection and analysis, indicators, roles among the partners, etc
  • Methodology will be applied to the evaluation of the SMART-WAY concept and its two pilot applications
  • Ensure the acknowledgement of knowledge and results of the project by the relevant stakeholders


Framework and Methodology for Evaluation Process

  • Define framework from evaluation of the SMART-WAY concept and its two pilot applications
  • Develop methodology to be applied for the evaluation process
  • Input received from all WPs, specifically WP 2
  • Provide validated SMART-WAY concept achieved by an evaluation of the two pilot applications

 

Evaluation and Impact Assessment

  • Assess operational performance and functional completeness of SMART-WAY concept
  • Operational tests will allow investigation of system performance and functional completeness of SMART-WAY concept
  • Assess expected impacts of SMART-WAY solution to all user groups


Publications and Additional Knowledge Transfer Actions

  • Leading partner will develop dissemination and exploitation plans
  • Approach the target groups, establish means of communication, explore dissemination strategies and promotional actions
  • Publications in scientific journals, papers, presentations in national and international conferences, fora participation, etc
  • Report published upon project completion about various publications, additional knowledge transfer actions and dissemination actions to be implemented


Dissemination and Promotion Material

  • Two 4-page brochures (project introduction and conclusion), project poster, six monthly electronic newsletters, press releases, CD ROM
  • Organization of a Conference:
  • Organized in the final stages of the project
  • Aim of disseminating SMART-WAY results and promoting wide adoption of its results to all target groups
  • Preparing conference programmes
  • Identifying and inviting representatives from target groups
  • Announcement in local/regional media
  • Conference logistics
  • Preparing presentable materials
  • Preparing proceedings of the conferences
