Objectives
- Roll-out passenger navigation system in Dresden and Torino public transit networks
- Design and implement large-scale test to validate and demonstrate behaviour of overall system in real scenarios
- Monitoring communication, navigation behaviours, performance
- All central applications will be installed and mobile applications provided
- Repetitive process between testing and implementation (established in WP 3 and 4) will be finalized to create ‘ready-to-market’ application
Installation of All Applications in Demonstration Environment
- Functional tests will be implemented in the following regions:
- Piedmont, North-west Italy
- Dresden, Germany
- Each region will include several scenarios with different communication services and requirements
- Preparation of system for functional tests with general users
- Full functional application in the productive transport network
- Aim to avoid technical troubles in roll-out phase
- Technical questions and user recommendations will be addressed by both research partners and public transport operators
Piloting of All Components in Dresden Transport Network
- Includes roll-out of SMART-WAY within test field
- Advertise and introduce SMART-WAY to public
- Fraunhofer and DVB will attract users
- User experiences will contribute to final version of the application
Piloting of All Components in Torino Transport Network
- Includes roll-out of SMART-WAY within test field
- GTT will advertise and introduce SMART-WAY to public
- User experiences will contribute to final version of the application
