The 3rd test-stage in Dresden runs excellent. There were already performed more than 1.000 Test runs with very positive feedback from the users.

In Turin, the friendly user test-stage was started. Furthermore, the 3rd test-stage is prepared.

The portability (one SMART-WAY navigation app for two different regions) has already been shown.

February 2012 22th February 3rd test-stage was started in Dresden with more than 450 test users
January 2012 New features implemented:
  • start navigation from current position (if passenger is already sitting in the vehicle)
  • passenger can leave the route -> automatic recalculation of the connection
  • warning and recalculation when interchanges no longer works in time

Preparation of the 3rd test-stage (more than 300 test users per city)

November 2011 Evaluation of the second test-stage -> use of user feedback for bugfixing and implementation of additional features

  • additional textual navigation mode without a map
  • adress and map input for the start and destination selection.

Navigation without GPS (tunnel mode).

March, 01 2011 Dresden's public transport operator DVB will initiate a multi-stage test procedure with different user groups.
The first stage, a couple of internal staff (project externals) will act as test users, starts now.
